I want to buy 8L angel eyes that look like these:

can you tell me please a place that sells them

also, are xenon lights good?
do they illuminate enough ?
do they blind the other drivers?

You may ask user @t00i ( www.fuers-auto.de ) for buying those parts.

I don't know where you are from, but here it is not allowed to use Xenon lights with aftermarket parts (becuase there are non made for xenon). Only original xenon-headlights are allowed here, you also need an "automated headlamp beam height control" and a "headlamp wash system". But this may depend on your countries laws.

I woudn't recommend the use of Xenon with headlights which are made for halogen bulbs, If not properly adjusted or if you have a heavy load on your rear axle others might be blinded. The lenses of xenon headlights are different to the halogen ones.

But xenon is great, I changed my headlights to the xenons and do not regret this :-)

As I mentioned...may also depend on the laws, your budget etc.

the above shown headlights are from DEPO and are supposed to fit facelift 8L

I wanted to know if it is possible to fit a pre-facelift 8L

has anyone done it?

Yes, it is possible. You have to modify the front fenders. There is also a workshop (in german) with pictures: http://www.a3-freunde.de/wiki/ FaceliftscheinwerferEinbau

You have to dismount the front bumper and use adapter cables because the connector used in pre-facelift 8L has a different shape.

don't buy these!
otherwise you may notice after short time of use those really unsexy scratches at the inside of the plastic housing.
(look at the pictures i added)

I know that they have these scratches, but I thought it was just the design

do you have to suggest me any other angel eyes, but with similar desing?

@carman I think you missunderstood. Straight from the factory, the lamps seem fine. But the transparent plastic often becomes "cracky" as time passes. Means: poor quality.
The straight vertical lines as seen on your first picture are normal, yes.

it seems, apart from DEPO, FK has similar lights, but the model code is the same, which means they are the same product:

no, they are not the same!
the black depo lights are without angel eye rings for parking lights, the black fk lights are with angel eyes rings for parking light.
the black fk lights i had before the depo and they didn't get these scratches and cracks.

so if you don't mind having angel eye rings, go for the fk.
